Schedule

Our program focuses the clinical training in the first year, protecting time in the 2^nd and 3^rd years for research and additional training. The 1^st year fellow spends nine months on the inpatient service, two weeks of intensive training, two additional weeks rotating in the microbiology lab, with call two weekends a month. Four weeks is protected for the 1^st year fellow to meet with his or her mentor, prepare grant applications and/or begin research activities. The senior fellows attend ~½ day a week of outpatient clinic, 4-6 weeks of weekday inpatient service each, and ~ 1 weekend a month of call. All fellows get 4 weeks of vacation, in addition to Unversity holidays.
