YEAR 1 FELLOWS: Clinical Teaching 2.0: Teaching Challenges in the Clinical Setting In this workshop, we will address some of the common challenges to effective clinical teaching that fellows may face. We'll describe a teaching model called the One Minute Preceptor, and discuss how the principles of this model can be modified to teach effectively in different scenarios. The session will be interactive, practical and case-based, with time to work in smaller groups to share ideas and strategies. You'll leave with handouts describing some effective teaching strategies, and receive a compilation of the ideas generated during the workshop. |

YEAR 2 FELLOWS: Art of Feedback Feedback is a fundamental tool of effective teaching and is a skill that, though easily learned, takes a lifetime to master. We will review the literature and introduce participants to a guide to giving effective feedback. Participants will practice these new skills in the workshop, specifically focusing on challenging cases of their own. |

YEAR 3 FELLOWS: Autonomy & Supervision In this interactive workshop senior fellows explore the balance between autonomy and supervision and how this impacts learning as well as patient safety. They will identify strategies to provide the best balance between supervision and autonomy for trainees of different levels that match their own comfort and experience level as they progress from fellow to attending. |
