Dr. Veronika Mesheriakova cares for adolescent and young adult patients, and specializes in sexual and reproductive health conditions as well as substance use disorders. She also treats acne, menstrual disorders, eating disorders, depression and anxiety. She is assistant director of the outpatient adolescent and young adult medicine clinics.
Mesheriakova's research focuses on contraception use among adolescents, ensuring all patients get appropriate vaccines, ensuring confidentiality for sexual health services provided to minors and substance use prevention, diagnosis and treatment for adolescents and young adults.
Mesheriakova earned her medical degree from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital followed by a fellowship in adolescent and young adult medicine at UCSF.
Mesheriakova is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, American Society of Addiction Medicine and Association for Medical Education and Research in Substance Abuse. She is an assistant professor of pediatrics at UCSF.
