New Associate Pediatrics Residency Program Director
On July 1, 2016, Meg McNamara, MD was appointed the new Associate Program Director for Mentoring and Career Development. In this new role, Dr. McNamara will focus on developing and overseeing enhanced mentoring and advising programs, improving feedback and the process for guiding the development of resident individual development and learning plans, and overseeing resident wellness programs.
Dr. McNamara received her MD from the University of Connecticut. She completed her pediatrics residency at UCSF. From 1995 to 2000, Dr. McNamara served as an Associate Program Director for the UCSF Pediatric Residency Program She currently serves as Co-Director of the Foundations in Patient Care course, Director of Preceptor Outreach, and Site Director for the UCSF Bridges Clinical Microsystem Clerkship at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). She attends at the ZFGH outpatient clinic. She a member of the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators and is a Professor of Pediatrics.
