Research Funds

The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine has several funds that provide some financial support for research and educational purposes. Funds are described below. Visit these web links for information on eligibility and guidelines and the application process.

The Mary Rita Crittenden Fund

Supports behavioral sciences and clinical research in Adolescent Health and Medicine. All post grad trainees are eligible to apply for support.

Todd Jacobs Education and Research Fund

The J. Todd Jacobs Research Fund supports research and educational activities to improve access to and quality of health care for adolescents and young adult and their families within the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine.

Teen Clinic Fund

To support the improvement in the operation and clinical activities of the Adolescent and Young Adult Clinic (previously known as the "Teen Clinic"). Can be used for any research that involves the Adolescent and Young Medicine Clinic.

Policy (Knopf)

To support the AYA Division in policy and research related activities pertaining to the National Adolescent and Young Adult Information Center

Rodriguez AIDS Fellowship Research Fund

The Roy Rodriguez AIDS Fellowship Research Fund provides scholarship and financial assistance to postdoctoral fellows/trainees who have embarked on an approved research project focusing on HIV/AIDS. Appropriate areas of study include behavioral or risk-taking theory associated with HIV/AIDS, social and cultural knowledge of HIV/AIDS, HIV/AIDS preventive services, HIV/AIDS intervention programs, HIV-based nutrition, coping issues, pain management, and confidentiality issues relevant to HIV/AIDS, and health policy issues.

Schlossberger Memorial Research Fund

The Norman Schlossberger Research Fund provides financial assistance to postdoctoral fellows in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine who are doing research in the field of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine.

Shafer Fund in Adolescent Health and Medicine Research

To support Education and Research activities for early faculty, fellows and trainees in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine.

Yen Research Fund

To support research in sexual and reproductive Health Adolescent and Young adults, within the division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine.
