Biography 

Dr. Yasmine White is a first-year clinical fellow in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at UCSF. She attended Bowdoin College where she majored in biology and math before attending medical school at the University of Michigan. During medical school, she spent a year as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellow in Dr. Kevin Shannon’s lab at UCSF characterizing a novel KRAS mutation in juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia. She completed her pediatric residency at the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center. As a resident, she worked with Dr. Mohamed El-Dib at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital to study early exit from therapeutic hypothermia for neonates diagnosed with encephalopathy.
