Education
The Division of Developmental Medicine provides training and education to both pediatrics residents and clinical psychology doctoral students.
Pediatrics residents gain an appreciation for the core topics of developmental-behavioral pediatrics through clinical experiences and classroom didactics. For example, residents participate in the history taking, physical exams, and care planning of patients they see with faculty. Resident training prepares residents to manage common developmental and behavioral concerns that are frequently encountered in general pediatrics clinics.
The Pediatric Neuropsychology faculty direct a formal predoctoral practicum training program for clinical psychology doctoral students that includes direct clinical experiences, such as neuropsychological assessment, as well as a formal pediatric neuropsychology didactics seminar.
