The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine provides a range of services designed to meet the needs of this unique population through our clinics:

Inpatient Consultation and Referral
- The division is available 24 hours a day for consultation on adolescent patients admitted to the pediatric, adult medicine, and surgical services.
- Referral for evaluation for inpatient admission of adolescents is available 24 hours a day; patients are admitted to the service under the Adolescent Medicine faculty on call.
- Adolescent Eating Disorder Inpatient Service: We care for medically compromised adolescents who suffer from Eating Disorders, specifically Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa, on our acute medical floor. Our interdisciplinary team evaluates and manages these patients until they are medically stable for discharge. If you are concerned about a patient, please call 415-353-2002 for more information
