Learning Objectives: 

1. Describe how prognostic models can be used to prevent childhood obesity by collecting data in the first six months of life. 
2. Discuss one prognostic model developed in SF that has been used in different settings in the United States and Japan to predict childhood obesity by 5 years of age. 
3. Introduce the possible role of leukocyte telomere length as a predictor of childhood obesity.
