Join us for a special event featuring Dr. Ali Landman, Acting Editor-in-Chief of The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health. Dr. Landman will share valuable insights on the publishing process, including the types of papers the journal is interested in, how research is assessed, and key insights into The Lancet editorial process. This is a great opportunity for early career researchers to learn directly from an editor’s perspective.

Dr. Ali Landman is the acting Editor-in-Chief of The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health, joining the journal after nearly 10 years as an editor at The Lancet Oncology. Ali earned her PhD in Cancer Biology from MIT in 2009 and pursued post-doctoral research in mouse models of cancer at UCSF and University College London (UK) and in neurodegenerative disease at MRC Harwell (UK), before joining The Lancet Group. She has a special interest in paediatric oncology and broader interests in the social and commercial determinants of health and health equity.

One-on-One Meeting Opportunities

Dr. Landman is eager to connect with UCSF researchers to discuss their work and its potential fit for The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health. She will be available for individual or group meetings on May 2 from 1:00–4:00 PM in Mission Hall.
