Learning Objectives: 

  1. Define and critically evaluate the concept of "gut health," including physiological components, characteristics of a normal gut microbiota, and the concept of dysbiosis. 
  2. Explain the scientific rationale and evidence base for the use of probiotics in pediatric practice, focusing on selected clinical conditions
  3. Analyze variations in clinical guidelines for probiotic use, addressing misconceptions, inappropriate applications, and research gaps relevant to personalized and preventive strategies.

Location:
