Alexander Newman, MD, MS
Dr. Alexander M. Newman is a pediatric infectious disease specialist who cares for children with unusual or advanced infections, with a focus on patients who are critically ill or immunocompromised. With expertise in prevention, diagnosis and treatment, he has a special interest in HIV care for adolescents. He is also interested in treating complex infections in bone marrow transplant recipients.
Newman earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed a residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. He also has a master's degree in clinical investigation from Northwestern University.
